Guidence not Control..

Whenever you let the Holy Spirit take over in every area of your Life, He will warn your Spirit constantly about things that aren’t Holy. What you wear, what you eat, what you watch, what you listen to, what you read.. Whoooo way to much….

I was asked by someone once, “If God wants to control every area of your Life, then whats the point of Him giving us, free will?”

God does give us free will, free will to choose Life over death, to lead a Life worthy to be used by God. You can in fact, listen to certain types of music, watch, read, wear certain types of things, and you will still get into Heaven.

God does not take free will from us. If you want to be used by God in a way that is bigger than yourself, bigger than anything you can imagine. The first step is not to look at it as control, which it’s not but rather guidance, which it is.

If you want to serve God to be used by Him to Help people, to be His Hands and feet, you must be a servant of God by your own free will.

It will be painful at first, but it gets easier all the time, with every act of obedience you show, God will bless you for your obedience, and the more Holy your Life becomes, from Him purging you of these things, the more He will speak to your Heart and guide you to do His work. You will become more sensitive to His Spirit and His Will, but I will by no means sugar coat it by saying it’s an easy journey. The flesh will constantly try to pull you back into the things you enjoy or enjoyed. But with time, you won’t even think twice about warnings, as soon as His Spirit nudges you to stop watching, listening or doing a certain thing. You’ll stop whatever it is without hesitation.

An employer who hires an employee, can’t let the new guy on the job, wear, say or just do as he pleases, and make up His own rules. If you apply to a job, by your own free will, you will have to learn to do the job and represent the company in the way they deem fit.

It’s the same with God.

Colossians 3:12Amplified Bible (AMP)

12 So, as God’s own chosen people, who are holy [set apart, sanctified for His purpose] and well-beloved [by God Himself], put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience [which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper].

Its not control, it’s guidance.

whatever changes God asks you to make in your Life I promise you, it will be worth it. Stay with it.. Allow Him Finish the good work he started in you.

Philippians 1:6Amplified Bible (AMP)

I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].

The Holy Spirit will guide you, all you have to do is ask for His help.

John 16:24Amplified Bible (AMP)

24 Until now you have not asked [the Father] for anything in My name; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy may be full and complete.

God will never ask you to do something you are not capable of doing.

1 Corinthians 10:13

No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].

  • Dont you want to be used in a bigger way, by the Lord?
  • Aren’t you hungry to find out what God has in store for your life?
